Short and long term solutions
Long-term storage is popular with professionals and those who have had to relocate due to work commitments. Rather than selling their home, many people choose to rent out their house unfurnished, moving their furniture and personal belongings into storage.
We often see people who move to the UK choosing to rent furnished accommodation to begin with in order to have time to settle in and decide on an area in which to look for a more permanent home. If this is something you’re considering, we can transport and look after your containerised belongings, keeping them safe and secure until you need them.
How does it work?
At Binnings of Cumbria, we have a team of trained packers who will blanket wrap your larger pieces and carefully pack your smaller belongings into storage crates. Everything is catalogued before being sealed and moved to a storage bay in a secure warehouse, where they will remain sealed and will only be accessible by forklift truck.
As soon as you are ready to receive your possessions, each sealed crate is loaded on to a lorry and delivered to your new home. Once there, we will unload and unseal the crates, unwrap your furniture and place everything in your new property as directed by you.
Our storage options are charged on a container basis and will be invoiced monthly. Each container is 5ft wide by 7 ft deep and 8 ft high and has a volume of 250 cubic feet.
You can rest assured that your belongings will be stored and transported with the greatest of care. As an established family business and a member of the British Association of Removers (BAR), our priority is to keep your possessions safe and secure.
Self Storage
Many of our customers require access to their furniture and belongings whilst they are in storage. Our modern, secure self-storage units have 24-hour key access, meaning that your possessions are on hand whenever you need them.
